The Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train is proud to present its Country Music Train featuring “The Hummingbirds”. As we travel on this special Friday evening dinner excursion, you will experience a two hour scenic train ride from Walled Lake to West Bloomfield’s Woodpecker Lake, and return. While onboard our chef will prepare a classic Bar-B-Que dinner. Enjoy your meal while listening to a great up and coming Country Music duo, the Hummingbirds, who will be performing tableside.

The Hummingbirds will entertain you as we ride the rails. You can expect a mix of memorable melodies and sweet harmonies from this unique duo. Detroit Music Award winner, Stephen Grant Wood and Michigan songwriter, Rachel Lynn lays down the rock steady rhythm with the acoustic guitar. The vocals are shared between the two performers and harmony is a big part of who the Hummingbirds are.

Their full length self-titled CD was released in early 2006 and was nominated for best country album in the 2006 Detroit Music Awards. Much inspiration for their songs comes from the country classic sounds of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, as well as, from some of the best influences in American Roots music today such as, Lucinda Williams, Wilco, Steve Earle, and many others.
