The Michigan Star clipper is proud to present nationally acclaimed pianist, songwriter and singer Mr. Avy Schreiber.

Growing up in the Detroit area, Avy realized he was a musician. One afternoon while walking with his father they passed a construction site, the then pre-teen Avy said, the drill is in the key of “D”

He was right. And thus began an international career as a pianist, songwriter, and singer that has taken him to Carnegie Hall in New York City, Los Angeles, The White House, Hong Kong and Jerusalem. With perfect pitch and world-renowned acclaim, Avy leads fellow musicians in a cappella performances. Some of his credits are with such groups as the famous Kol Zimra and Beat'achon. He also has seven albums, for which he wrote, arranged and performed various songs and performances with musicians from all over the globe.

Today, Avy provides music for all types of events including weddings, cocktail parties, corporate functions, philanthropic dinners and bar/bat mitzvahs. Theatre Arts Productions, the entertainment specialist for The Michigan Star Clipper notes that he is equally at home on the concert stage or providing background ambience for any intimate occasion. He performs both as a solo musician and with specialized musical ensembles we are excited and proud to say that we with Avy’s expertise have created and offer this custom designed performance for our very special Family Dinner Train.
