April Dinner Trains

Fridays, 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th – FRIDAY NIGHT “TRIBUTE” DINNER TRAINS, 7:30 p.m. Departure
Enjoy a two-hour scenic train ride while enjoying a three-course, onboard chef prepared, meal and live tableside entertainment with both murder mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Tickets are $69 per person, bar and gratuity additional. Vegetarian dishes are available on all trains. Enjoy our specialty three-course dinners, not offered on other Star Clipper trains. The Friday Night “Tribute” Dinner Train departs at 7:30 p.m., with boarding beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come as early as 6 p.m. and enjoy our Kentucky Thoroughbred Lounge Car. The tribute themes for Friday evenings in April are:

4th, 11th & 18th – “Murder on the Star Clipper
Our most famous Murder Mystery show, featuring our newest entrees, “Salmon Vanderbilt” and “Roast Pork with Cranberry Glaze

25th – “Who Shot the Sherrif
Our ever popular country murder mystery and musical!
APRIL FRIDAY NIGHT MUSICAL SHOWS
4th – “Lou Rawls, Barry While, Marvin Gaye & Friends”, featuring Bob Allman, musical balladeer!
11th – “Back To Bobby-Sox”, our musical tribute to the 1950’s & 1960’s! Prize for best dressed!
18th – “Rockin Rhythm & Blues”, a musical jazz tribute to the 1930’s and 1940’s. Step back in time with our newest musical show!
25th – “The Stubbs Girls”, Our best Top 40’s and MOTOWN show!

All Friday night trains feature our new First Quarter 2008 Entrée choices, “Salmon Vanderbilt” & “Chicken Alfredo”. A Vegetarian entrée is also available. Our three course dinners also feature a fresh garden salad with the night’s house dressing and a freshly made dessert. All of our dinners include breadbaskets with our chef’s specialty honey butter, fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water.
Saturdays, 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th – FAMOUS “PREMIUM” DINNER TRAINS
Only onboard the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train can you enjoy a five course meal prepared onboard while enjoying a scenic three hour train ride with live tableside entertainment with both Murder Mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Departure at 7 p.m. with our Kentucky Thoroughbred opened at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $89 per person with bar and gratuity additional.

Entertainment choices on Saturdays in April include our own both musical shows and our famous murder mystery shows. Each Each Saturday evening enjoy our tongue-n-cheek “Murder Madness.” , Michigan’s longest running murder mystery show where a murder is committed on the train and the audience is needed to help solve the crime! Our musical shows in April include our Vegas-Style MOTOWN show featuring “The Stubbs Girls” (5th), a tribute to “Lou Rawls, Barry White & Marvin Gaye” (12th), another new Star Clipper musical jazz tribute “Bop Be-Bop & Blues” (19th), and a show that all will enjoy highlighting the special music of the 1930’s to present with our “Best of Broadway” show (29th).

All Saturday evening trains depart at 7 p.m. and return at 10 p.m. with our lounge car opened at 5:30 p.m. Overnight accommodations in our railroad sleeping car with breakfast the next morning is also available. Come enjoy our new Entrée choices, “Chilean Sea Bass” with caramelized fennel and red onion confit and served with a chipotle pepper sauce, and “Cornish Hen ala Orange” baked to a golden brown and drenched in orange sauce. Both are served with rice pilaf and vegetable. Of course we will also offer our signature “Star Clipper Prime Rib” served with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetable. Our five-course meals also feature the Star Clipper’s specialty vegetable cheese pâté and crouton baked crackers, one of our signature hearty soups, a fresh garden salad with the night’s house dressing, and a freshly made dessert. All of our dinners include breadbaskets with our chef’s specialty honey butter, fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water.
Sundays, 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th – SUNDAY FAMILY DINNER TRAINS (Very Popular)
These trains provides guests and families with a very special two-hour Sunday afternoon dining and train ride experience. Departing at 1:30 p.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m., this train offers a three-course fresh-prepared, onboard meal while traveling by train to scenic Woodpecker Lake. Entrée choices include traditional Sunday favorites, roast beef, ham, chicken, and a vegetarian pasta primavera. Live dining music in April includes our own Saxman on the 6th & 20th and the Star Clipper brings back our acclaimed show “Sentimental Journey”, the longest running musical on the Star Clipper! Beginning April 20th and also on April 27th, our wildly popular “Comedy Wedding” returns, adding to your entertainment choices. Dress is Sunday casual and pre-boarding is available beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets, excluding tips and bar are $54 for adults, $29 for children (12 and under) and Toddlers age 2 and under are FREE (No toddler meal provided). Experience the Star Clipper Sunday afternoons on this truly unique dining experience.

April Luncheon & Family Trains

APRIL 5th – “Kool Kat’s Healthy Heart” Children’s Musical Lunch Train NEW FOR 2008!
Join us for a special two hour children’s lunch train, boarding at 11:15am, departing at noon. Its FUN, its EDUCATIONAL, and its ENTERTAINING. This musical children’s show has it all and everyone gets in on the fun. Funny characters, great music and it will teach your children healthy and nutritious habits.
Tickets are $39 for adults, $29 for children, and $10 for toddlers (No toddler meal provided).
APRIL 19th – “Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Express” RETURNS!
Join us for a two hour lunch train ride with Harry Potter and his wizard friends where we will provide magic tricks and teach the children how to perform them as the train travels to scenic Woodpecker Lake in West Bloomfield. Come early and visit “Harry’s Den”, a full service magic shop, open at 10:30am and after the train returns. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in your favorite Harry Potter character costume. Boarding begins at 11:15am at Track 9½ with a noon departure. Tickets are $39 for adults and $29 for children
