Springtime On The Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train

March Dinner Trains

Fridays, 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th– “TRIBUTE” DINNER TRAINS, 7:30 p.m. Departure

Enjoy a two hour scenic train ride while enjoying a three-course, onboard chef prepared meal and live tableside entertainment with both murder mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Tickets are $69 per person, bar and gratuity additional. Vegetarian dishes are available on all trains. Enjoy our specialty three course dinners, not offered on other Star Clipper trains. The Friday Night “Tribute” Dinner Train departs at 7:30 p.m., with boarding beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come as early as 6 p.m. and enjoy our Kentucky Thoroughbred Lounge Car. MARCH FRIDAY NIGHT THEATRICAL SHOWS

7th – “Comedy Wedding”, A hilarious wedding where anything that can go wrong, does!

14th & 21st – “Murder on the Star Clipper!”, Our signature murder mystery show! Come see if you can answer the question, “Who Committed the Murder on the Star Clipper?”

28th – “Who Shot The Sheriff?”, Our ever popular country murder mystery and musical!

MARCH FRIDAY NIGHT MUSICAL SHOWS

7th – “Back To Bobby Sox”, A Star Clipper musical tribute to 1950s & 1960s. Prizes for best dancer in a twist contest and best period dress!

14th – “Bop Be-Bop & Blues”, Our newest jazz show. Don't miss this show!

21st – “Return To The 1970s/1980s”, Step back in time with our newest musical show!

28th – “The Stubbs Girls”, Our best Top 40s and MOTOWN show!

All Friday night trains feature our new First Quarter 2008 Entrée choices, “Salmon Vanderbilt” & “Chicken Alfredo”. A Vegetarian entrée is also available. Our three course dinners also feature a fresh garden salad with the night’s house dressing and a freshly made dessert. All of our dinners include breadbaskets with our chef’s specialty honey butter, fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water.

Saturdays, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th – FAMOUS “PREMIUM” STAR CLIPPER DINNER TRAINS

Only onboard the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train’s “Premium Train” can you enjoy a five-course meal prepared onboard while enjoying a scenic, three-hour train ride with live tableside entertainment with both Murder Mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Departure at 7 p.m. with our Kentucky Thoroughbred lounge opened at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $89 per person with bar and gratuity additional.

Entertainment choices on Saturday evenings in March include both musical shows and our famous murder mystery shows. Each Saturday evening enjoy our tongue-n-cheek “Murder Madness”, Michigan’s longest running murder mystery show where a murder is committed on the train and the audience is needed to help solve the crime! Our musical shows in March include a tribute to “Lou Rawls, Barry White & Marvin Gaye” (1st), our Vegas-Style MOTOWN show featuring “The Stubbs Girls” (8th and 15th), another new Star Clipper tribute “Return To The 1970s/1980s” (22nd), and a show that all will enjoy highlighting the special music of the 1930s to present with our “Best of Broadway” show (29th). All Saturday evening trains depart at 7 p.m. and return at 10 p.m. with our lounge car opened at 5:30 p.m. Overnight accommodations in our railroad sleeping car with breakfast the next morning is also available.

Come enjoy our new First Quarter 2008 Entrée choices, “Trout Oscar” with white cheese sauce served with wild rice and fresh asparagus, and “Chicken Romano” served with pasta and vegetable. Of course we will also offer our signature “Star Clipper Prime Rib” served with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetable. Our five course meals also feature the Star Clipper’s specialty vegetable cheese pâté and crouton baked crackers, one of our signature hearty soups, a fresh garden salad with the night’s house dressing, and a freshly made dessert. All of our dinners include breadbaskets with our chef’s specialty honey butter, fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water.

Sundays, 2nd, 9th, 16th & 30th – SUNDAY FAMILY DINNER TRAINS (Very Popular)

These trains provide guests and families with a very special two-hour Sunday afternoon dining and train ride experience. Departing at 1:30 p.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m., this train offers a three-course fresh-prepared, onboard meal while traveling by train to scenic Woodpecker Lake. Entrée choices include traditional Sunday favorites, roast beef, ham, chicken, and a vegetarian pasta primavera. Live dining music in March includes our own SAXMAN each Sunday and beginning on the 30th, the Star Clipper brings back our acclaimed show “Comedy Wedding”, hilarious wedding where anything that can go wrong, DOES! Dress is Sunday casual and boarding is available beginning at 12:30 p.m. in our Michigan Spruce dining car. Tickets, excluding tips and bar are $54 for Adults, $29 Children (12 and under) and Toddlers age 2 and under are FREE (no meal provided). Experience this truly unique dining experience.

March Luncheon and Family Trains

BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY, March 8th, 15th & 22nd, Departing 10 a.m.

Join us for a special children’s breakfast train, boarding at 9:15am, departing 10:00am. Visit with Farmer McGregor and his friends as they lead your family in a sing-along celebration of the season while enjoying a two-hour train ride and breakfast. Meet the Easter Bunny onboard our special train as Farmer McGregor brings him to each table to meet your family. We will also feature a story reading from a famous Beatrix Potter tale and offering coloring and other activities to enhance your special train ride. Tickets are $35 for adults, $29 for children, and $10 for toddlers (No Toddler Meal Provided).

SPECIAL LUNCHEON TRAINS – 2-hour ride, 3-course meal, entertainment - Departing at noon

Thursday 27th Sentimental Journey - Tickets are $49 for adults, One of our favorite shows!

Sunday “WALLED LAKE EXPRESS TRAINS” – NEW FOR 1st Quarter!

Our vintage 1917 excursion trains will return in late April, but in the meantime, visit us each Sunday for a scenic two hour train ride to Woodpecker Lake and return onboard our fully climate controlled Vista Cavern observation car. Snacks, beverages and full bar service is available at an additional charge. Train departs at 1:30 p.m. with boarding at 1 p.m., returning at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for children, and $10 for toddlers.
