November 2007 Departure Schedule “TRIBUTE TO TRAINS”
November Dinner Trains
- Thursdays, 1st, 8th, 15th & 29th – THURSDAY NIGHT “ESCAPE” ON THE STAR CLIPPER
- Join us for our newest train experience and get an early jump on the weekend with our “Star Clipper Escape”. Here you can enjoy a two-hour train ride, three-course meal and live entertainment. Tickets are $54 per person with gratuity and drinks additional. Special pricing available for groups of eight or more. On the 1st enjoy our signature murder mystery show “Murder on the Star Clipper”.
You won’t to miss our newest show, “Classic Rock & Comedy” which is featured on the 8th and 29th.
The sounds of “Mr MOTOWN - Alturo Shelton” is featured on the 15th. On the 29th we bring back our holiday version of our most popular murder mystery show, “Holiday Madness” and offer our “Classic Rock & Comedy”. Train departs at 7 p.m. with boarding in our lounge car beginning at 5:30 p.m. Don’t miss this new Thursday night train!
- Fridays, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th – FRIDAY NIGHT “THEMED” DINNER TRAINS
- Enjoy a two hour scenic train ride while enjoying a three-course, onboard chef prepared, meal and live tableside entertainment with both Murder Mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Tickets are $69 per person, bar and gratuity additional. Vegetarian dishes are available on all trains. Come as early as 6 p.m. and enjoy our special Kentucky Thoroughbred and Vista Cavern railcars with dinner being served in our Meadow Rose or Michigan Spruce Dining Cars. Enjoy our specialty three-course dinners, not offered on other Star Clipper trains. Train departs at 7:30 p.m. The themes for November are:
- 2nd, 9th & 16th – “Murder on the Star Clipper”, our signature Murder Mystery show, featuring our newest entrees, “Salmon Vanderbilt” & “Roast Pork w/ Cranberry Glaze”. Come see if you can answer the question, “Who Committed the Murder on the Star Clipper?”
- 23rd & 30th – “Holiday Madness”, the Star Clipper’s holiday version of our most popular murder mystery show.
- 9th – “Stubbs Girls”, Enjoy an unforgettable gospel music experience.
- 16th – Classic Rock & Comedy our newest show and one you won’t want to miss!
- 23rd & 30th – “Holiday Musical Revue”, Enjoy the season with traditional holiday music!
- Saturdays, 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th – FAMOUS “PREMIUM” STAR CLIPPER DINNER TRAINS
- Only onboard the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train can you enjoy a five-course meal prepared onboard while enjoying a scenic three hour train ride with live tableside entertainment with both Murder Mysteries and other theatrical and musical performances! Departure at 7 p.m. with our Kentucky Thoroughbred lounge opened at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $89 per person with bar and gratuity additional.
Entertainment choices on Saturdays in November include our widely popular MOTOWN show featuring “The Stubbs Girls” (3rd & 10th), from Levi Stubbs fame.
One of our newest shows, “Classic Rock & Comedy” is available on the 17th and a good old fashioned “Traditional Holiday Musical Revue” on the 24th.
Our ever popular “Murder Madness” murder mystery show is playing on the 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th. All trains depart at 7 p.m. and return at 10 p.m. Overnight accommodations in our railroad sleeping car with breakfast the next morning is also available.
- Saturdays, 10th & 24th – 2 hour MOONLIGHT PARTY TRAIN, 10:30 p.m. 12:30 a.m.
- NEW for 2007! Join us late night for our new “Moonlight Party Train” featuring our newest show CLASSIC ROCK & COMEDY and some light snacks with a two hour train ride to Woodpecker Lake in wooded West Bloomfield. Bar and gratuity additional. $20 Per Person Cover, $5 Star Clipper Dinner Train Guests. Come experience this new train!
- Sundays, 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th – SUNDAY FAMILY DINNER TRAINS (Very Popular)
- These trains provide guests and families with a very special two-hour Sunday afternoon dining and train ride experience. Departing at 1:30 p.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m., this train offers a three-course fresh-prepared, onboard meal while traveling by train to scenic Woodpecker Lake. Entrée choices include traditional Sunday favorites, roast beef, ham, chicken, and a vegetarian pasta primavera.
Live dining music in November includes our own SAXMAN. (4th, 11th & 18th)
and the sounds of “Traditional Holiday Musical Revue”.
During the month of November, we will also offer our Comedy Wedding, (4th, 11th, 18th), a hilarious wedding where anything that can go wrong, DOES!
On the 25th we will also offer the holiday version of our most popular murder mystery show entitled “Holiday Madness”.
Dress is Sunday casual and pre-boarding is available beginning at noon in our new Kentucky Thoroughbred Lounge Car with the meal served in our Michigan Spruce dining car. Cost, excluding tips and bar is $54 for Adults, $29 Children (12 and under) and Toddlers age 2 and under are FREE (No meal provided). Experience this truly unique dining experience.

Enjoy our new Holiday Luncheon Menu featuring Turkey Roulade (sliced turkey breast filled with apple and walnut dressing, topped with a cream turkey sauce), served with cranberry chutney, sweet and Idaho potato bake and fresh asparagus, salad and dessert. Special children’s menu included in child ticket price.
