Our Famous New Year’S Eve on the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train!begins with boarding at 8 p.m. and departs promptly at 9 p.m.. This three and one-half-hour train ride features live entertainment, a four-course meal, a champagne toast at midnight, party favors and more. Choose from two entertainment packages that are specially priced for 2009 – $199 PER COUPLE! Overnight accommodations with free shuttle are also available. THIS WILL ABSOLUTELY BE OUR VERY LAST TRAIN DEPARTING FROM THIS LOCATION AS OUR RAILROAD WILL BE CONVERTED INTO A WALKING TRAIL AND THIS TRAIN WILL BE RELOCATED IN 2010!

All New Year's Eve Packages offered on the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train include:

• Three and one-half-hour train excursion. Boarding at 8 p.m. and Departing 9 p.m., Returns 12:30 a.m. to the Walled Lake Train Station.
• Add a fifth course (Fresh Signature Soup) or a sixth course (Sorbet) for only $3 each!
• Fresh four-course meal with three entrée selections and one upgrade selection including:

  The Star Clipper’s Signature Prime Rib Entrée and Skewer of Three Blackened Jumbo Shrimp UPGRADE!

  Our hand carved cooked to order signature prime rib is slow roasted, well seasoned, and served with house made au jus, roasted red skin mashed potato and the day's select steamed vegetable accompanies the entree. The Star Clipper’s signature horseradish sauce is presented on the side to compliment the prime rib. This is accompanied by a skewer of three jumbo blackened shrimp. This Entrée Upgrade is $10 extra per person.

  Chicken Cordon Bleu

  Tender chicken breast is flattened, then rolled with ham and Swiss cheese and served in a rich, lemon cream sauce atop a wild rice pilaf. Accompanied by the day's vegetable.

  Sauteed Red Snapper

  Fillet of red snapper with fresh fruit salsa and carmelized onion risotto, served with rice pilaf and the day's vegetable.

  The Star Clipper's Pasta Primavera

  For our vegetarian guests! This dish features selected fresh vegetables sautéed in virgin olive oil and selected spices served over steaming pasta.

  All Star Clipper Dinner Train entrees come with our specialty vegetable cheese pâté and crouton baked crackers, a fresh garden salad with the nights house dressing, and a freshly made dessert. All our dinners include breadbaskets with our chef’s specialty honey butter, fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water. Bar and Gratuity not included.

New Years Eve Package No. 1 – New Year's Murder Madness Show

This show is the New Year’s Eve version of our most popular Murder Mystery Show, Murder Madness, Michigan’s longest running Murder Mystery show. The audience finds themselves in the throws of an open audition for a made for TV movie. A musical called quite appropriately Murder Madness. Though all of the solo acts are spoken for, the producers wish to use some extras and in small groups the audience gets to participate. Unfortunately as fate (and our comedy mystery would have it) someone dies and it is now up to the audience to help solve the crime. Tickets are $199 per couple with bar and gratuity additional

New Years Eve Package No. 2 – Star Clippers’ Tribute to MOTOWN

Yes, this is the very best MOTOWN show that we have ever offered. Our tribute to MOTOWN features the 60s sounds of MOTOWN as well as their current TOP 40 Hit Recordings. You will think you are a guest at “HITSVILLE USA”. Music of The Fabulous Four Tops, The Tempting Temptations and solo greats such as Marvin Gaye, Tammy Tirrelle, Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, Little Stevie Wonder, and many more. Don’t miss this great, electrifying, Vegas-style show! Tickets are $199 per couple with bar and gratuity additional

OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS & FREE SHUTTLE

Once again the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train has arranged local overnight accommodations with the Comfort Suites in Wixom Michigan, located just off I-96W at Exit 159. We will also be offering a free shuttle to and from our train so that you can enjoy all that we have to offer without worry! Our guests desiring overnight accommodations should let us know you need the shuttle and then call the Comfort Suites at (248) 504-5080 and ask for the “Train Travel” block of rooms and special rate of only $69 per night. Breakfast will be offered the next morning until 10:30 a.m. (it will still be tough for some of you!). Separate reservations are required with the Comfort Suites and should be made at the time you make your train reservations. Then drive straight to the Comfort Inn on Dec. 31, 2009 and let us handle the rest!
