All of our railroad attractions are presently located in the Metro-Detroit Michigan area. Our trains have been featured in numerous documentaries and featured films, most recently starring in “Judicial Consent”. Over the years our trains have provided lasting memories to over two million passengers!
The Star Clipper Dinner Train® is North America’s FIRST “dedicated dinner train”, originating in Waverly Iowa in 1984. In 1985 two other locations were established in both Paw Paw and Walled Lake Michigan. Today the train serves the Metro-Detroit Michigan area in Walled Lake. The train’s corporate parent plans to launch additional locations of its famous dinner train in other parts of the United States and Canada in the years ahead. The train’s unique combination of fresh, onboard chef-prepared meals, live tableside entertainment and the sheer experience of traveling on a classic train from the golden days of train travel, combines to create an unforgettable experience.
Guests experience the romance of the rails and first class train travel from the 1950’s with our Pullman Palace Bed & Breakfast. Not just a place to spend the night after an exciting journey onboard the Star Clipper Dinner Train, but here our guests enjoy an almost endless selection of evening entertainment centered around..…trains! It’s fun for everyone. The next morning awaken to a hearty, fresh prepared “railroad style” breakfast! Check out is around 10:00am, but we do not care if you stay longer to enjoy the train. Just make sure you are off before Sunday afternoon’s departure!
Experience classic train travel onboard a 1920’s passenger train, unique in every respect. The Walled Lake Scenic Railway offers our guests several “family-themed” trains such as our “Cottontail Express”, “Teddy Bear Picnic Trains”, “Hobo Halloween Trains (not scary)”, “The Haunted Moonlight Train (scary)”, School Field Trips and many more. Many of these trains have been offered now for over 24 years! Try your family’s team building skills with our hallmark on board game (optional), “Quest for the Golden Spike!”
