Reservations are required on all meal service trains. Tickets DO NOT include gratuity or bar. A full description of the menus for our children’s breakfast and lunch trains is available.

Reservations are recommended on all seasonal Walled Lake Scenic Railway trains as seating is provided to guests holding confirmed reservations.

September Family Trains

SEPTEMBER 13th– “Musical Princess Lunch Train” – Departs at noon

Enjoy a two hour train ride with a special lunch and a visit and sing-a-long with your favorite princess characters! “A Chance For All Little Girls to be……The Princess We all Believe Them To Be!”. Onboard our “Musical Princess Lunch Train”, your little princess will have a chance to visit with her favorite princess characters! Enjoy their musical performance and dream that you might be chosen to be one of their “Ladies In Waiting!” Chosen or not, all children will have the opportunity to participate in this interactive musical performance on board “The Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train. Wear your favorite princess dress and sing-a-long to the familiar princess tunes. Mom’s, bring your daughters. Grandmother’s, bring your granddaughters. Aunts, bring your nieces. Dad’s, use this train to make a special Daddy-Daughter day! Bring your very own precious princess and don’t miss this fantasy filled experience. The entire train ride will conclude with a very special “Parade of All Princesses!” What a wonderful and enchanting day this promises to be. Tickets are $35.

SEPTEMBER 27th – “Mini-Mystery Children’s Lunch Train”

Join us for a special two hour children’s “Mini-Mystery” lunch train, boarding at 11:15am, departing NOON. The train has departed and lunch is being served when yikes! Something big has gone wrong. Who dunnit and why? The railroad’s police chief needs help in solving this crime. This is where the fun begins. The children are deputized and now will help in choosing the correct suspect and solving the crime. Tickets are $39 for adults, $29 for children, and $10 for toddlers (No Toddler Meal Provided).

SUNDAY FAMILY DINNER TRAINS

Each Sunday , the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train offers its popular “Sunday Family Dinner Train” providing guests with a special two-hour Sunday afternoon dining and train ride experience. Departing at 1:30 p.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m., this train offers a three-course fresh prepared onboard meal while traveling by train to scenic Woodpecker Lake and return to Walled Lake. Adult entrée choices include traditional Sunday favorites, roast beef, ham, chicken, and a vegetarian pasta primavera. The children’s meal includes baked chicken tenders, macaroni & cheese, vegetable, salad and dessert. A live musical or theatrical show is also included for your dining enjoyment. Dress is Sunday casual and pre-boarding is available beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets excluding tips and bar are $54 for Adults, $29 Children (12 and under) and Toddlers two and younger are FREE, although no toddler meal is provided. Experience the Star Clipper Sunday afternoons on this truly unique dining experience.

Sunday ”WALLED LAKE EXPRESS TRAINS”, Each Sunday in September! Departs at 2 p.m. – Boarding begins 1:30 p.m.

Join us on Sunday afternoon’s in September onboard the Walled Lake Scenic Railway’s historic 1920s excursion train as we depart for a one hour excursion train ride. Each family is encouraged to participate in our “Quest For The Golden Spike” railroad game which begins as you board the train thirty minutes prior to departure. Experience train travel from the 1930s on historic railcars that were among the first ten railcars ever electrified in the United States and by Mr. Thomas Edison himself! Snacks and refreshments are available in our Baggage Car along with some railroad history photos and exhibits. This is a very relaxing way to spend some time with family and friends! Arrive at the depot around 1:15 p.m. and see the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train depart the Walled Lake station.
Tickets are $15 for all guests.
