Reservations are required on all meal service trains. Tickets DO NOT include gratuity or bar. A full description of the menus for our children’s breakfast and lunch trains is available.

Reservations are recommended on all seasonal Walled Lake Scenic Railway trains as seating is provided to guests holding confirmed reservations.

TRAIN TRAVEL'S FAMILY TRAINS – FUN FOR ALL AGES!

Train Travel, Inc., celebrating our 24th year of providing memorable train experiences to people of all ages, offers a wide variety of family oriented train experiences with special children’s program themes. All of our Family Trains include a train ride and family and children’s programming, much of which is interactive and all of which is educational. View our 12-month operating schedule (at right). »

Many of our family and children’s trains are offered onboard our Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train where a meal is also included. This is a classic passenger train from the late 1940’s and early 1950’s and each railcar is fully climate controlled. Onboard the Star Clipper experience our favorite family trains “Sunday Family Trains”, “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny”, “Harry Potter & The Hogswart Express Lunch Trains”, “Breakfast with Santa”, “Star Clipper Polar Express” and MANY MANY more!

We also offer one hour train rides and special event trains with our vintage 1920s train Walled Lake Scenic Railway. Take a leisurely one hour train ride each Sunday afternoon. The “Walled Lake Express” departs at 2 p.m. with boarding thirty minutes prior. Come even earlier and watch the Star Clipper Dinner Train depart the Walled Lake station before boarding. Families are encouraged to play our signature game, “Quest For The Golden Spike” and visit the unique exhibits in our Commissary Car where you can also purchase snacks and refreshments. Certain times of the year this train has special trains that we have been running for the last 23 years, such as the “Cottontail Express”, “Hobo Halloween Express” and “Santa Express”. This year our guests will experience our new “Teddy Bear Picnic Lunch Trains”, the return of our “Moonlight Ghost Train” and MANY MANY more!
